Welcome to Castletownbere where you will find Rodeen Country Home. This light and airy House overlooks Bantry Bay and Bere Island and is set in a semi-mature garden which has a unique subtropical atmosphere.

Under the personal supervision of Ellen Gowan (owner), Rodeen Country Home has much to recommend it having being featured in the "100 Best Places to Stay in Ireland" series. Set in a sub- tropical garden with spectacular view across Bantry Bay, this superb accommodation is very much in demand. The six bedrooms (all en-suite) are extremely comfortable and are a final compliment to the award-winning cusine.

Some of the Guide Book where Rodeen Country Home is listed:

Castletownbere is on the Beara Peninsula on the South-West tip of Ireland, jutting out into the Atlantic. Coupled with a climate that is temperate and the influence of the Gulf Stream, a warm oceanic current, many rare and unusual plants - with their origin in the Southern Hemisphere - thrive here. Hence the unique sight of fuchsia hedgerows along our country lanes.
